ABOUT ME​:

James Padilla is a theatrical designer and educator currently based in the Salt Lake City area. Originally from Farmington, New Mexico, James holds a B.A. in Theatre Arts from New Mexico State University and an M.F.A. in Theatre Design from the University of Idaho, where he specialized in scenic and lighting design.

He has designed for a variety of theatre companies, including Four Corners Musical Theatre Company, The American Southwest Theatre Company, The Adobe Theater, and Durango PlayFest. His work reflects a deep commitment to visual storytelling and collaborative artistry.

In addition to his professional design work, James has shared his passion for theatre education at both the high school and collegiate levels, helping to train and inspire the next generation of theatre artists.
